White Horse Plastics has successfully completed the first shots from one of its two newly commissioned Wittmann SmartPower moulding machines — another step forward in the company’s ongoing investment in modern manufacturing technology.
100,000 Hours of Efficiency & Consistency
These new machines are part of an ongoing upgrade plan, replacing older-generation equipment that has supported production for many years. One of the outgoing machines had even clocked up more than 100,000 manufacturing hours, highlighting just how hard it had been working and proving just how effective a robust preventative maintenance plan can extend the lifecycle of hard-working equipment.

Commissioning of the new equipment was carried out by a trusted Wittmann engineer, working closely with White Horse Plastics’ onsite maintenance engineer to ensure everything is set up and ready to run smoothly from the outset.

These enhancements are especially important as White Horse Plastics continues to support customers in medical applications and sustainability-focused projects, where reliability and consistency of process controls are essential.
White Horse Plastics x Performance Biolubricants
As part of our environmental approach, the machines join a growing group of plan equipment which will benefit from running on MI240 lubricant from Performance Biolubricants. This is an Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant (EAL), helping to reduce environmental impact while maintaining high performance of the moulding machine.
Ready for Production!
With the first shots now successfully completed, the new machines are ready to play their part in supporting more efficient and consistent processing on our key medical and sustainable manufacturing projects
